Three-day Jammu Division Karate C’ship concludes

JAMMU, May 26: Organized by Japan Shotokan Karate-Do Kanninjuku Organization J&K, the 3-day Jammu Division Karate Championship concluded at Cybernetic Secondary School, Kunjwani here today.
More than 200 participants participated in the Championship, which was powered by Nat Manch and Leo Martial Arts Academy, and organized under the supervision of Ganesh Gupta (style chief, Japan Shotokan Karate-Do Kanninjuku Organization J&K). Officials who conducted the bouts were Shashi Janotra, Vinay Babaar, Rinku Sharma, Amit Sudan, Tushant, Chaya and Gurnam Kour.
On the closing ceremony, Tarun Sharma (president of Japan Shotokan Karate-Do Kanninjuku Organization J&K) was the chief guest while Palvi Sharma (International Karate Player and 1st National Gold Medalist), Amardeep Sharma (Chairman, Cybernetic Secondary School) and Preeti Sharma (Director, Cybernetic Secondary School) were guest of honours.
Addressing the young players, Tarun Sharma asked them to play the game with utmost dedication and work hard to excel in the arena of sports. He said under the mission, the UT Government had already given a major boost to the sports in the J&K.
Lauding the players participating in the tournament, Sharma said the sportspersons were blessed with several qualities and one of them is team spirit during the game, which could help them to excel in their lives.
