JAMMU, May 25: Thathi Cricket Club drubbed Spark Cricket Club by 70 runs at GGM Science College Hostel ground Jammu, while Junior XI Kathua defeated Gagan XI Kathua by 3 wickets at Police Lines ground Kathua in the ongoing JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament, being held under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA; Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA.
At Jammu, winning the toss and batting first, Thathi Cricket Club scored 204 runs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Anil top scored with 73 runs, while Vijay Singh contributed 42 runs to the total. From Spark Cricket Club, Happy and Surinder took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Spark Cricket Club managed to score 138 runs to lose the match by 70 runs. Aman and Sonu contributed 34 and 30 runs to the total respectively. From Thathi Club, Rajinder took 2 wickets. Anil was declared as the man of the match.
At Kathua, batting first, Gagan XI scored 182 runs in 40 overs. Rohit Raina and Gagan Singh contributed 30 and 26 runs to the total respectively. Anubhav took 3 wickets from Junior XI Kathua, while Sanchit claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Junior XI Kathua chased the target in 27.4 overs by losing 7 wickets to win the match by 3 wickets. Nikhil Sharma top scored with 59 runs, while Raghav Sharma contributed 29 runs to the total. From Gagan XI Kathua, Rajesh Singh and Manpreet took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Nikhil was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Singh, Dayal Singh, Saleem-ur-Rehman, Jatinder Singh, Sourav Sharma and Himanshu Sharma.
