SRINAGAR, May 15: The Meeting of Congress of General Council of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) was held here today.
Out of a total number of 98 delegates, 94 attended the meeting, wherein MS Baba, Chief Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council and GR Beigh, vice president JK Olympic Association acted as observers.
The Congress adopted the new constitution and held elections of the Association.
ZA Thakur was elected president while Surinder Singh Bunty was unanimously elected vice president, South (Jammu) Zone.
RK Kohli was elected treasurer of the Association, while Peer Sirajudin, Prof B.A.Shah and Dr Nirmolak Singh were elected as vice presidents of North, East and West Zones respectively.
Meanwhile, SA Hameed was nominated general secretary of the Association.
IA Kakroo of PDC, Mohammad Yaseen, Chairman Economics Alliance, Mohammad Amin Khan, Ex-Secretary Sports Board , Showkat Khaniyari, secretary J&K Bank Sports Board, NA Ronga and Zahoor Ahmad were present on the occasion.
