KATHUA, Aug 8: As part of its annual calendar of activities, the Department of Youth Services and Sports organized competitions in the disciplines of Table Tennis and Fencing for Under-19 boys and girls at DAV Lachhipur and GHSS Thara Kulyal Bhaddu respectively, under the overall supervision of DYSSO Kathua, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
Sunny Sharma of KPS Barnoti defeated Vidhant Jasrotia of RSJN Kathua by 2-0 sets in Table Tennis singles and in doubles, Vishal and Abhishek of RSJN Kathua trounced Sunny Sharma and Manav of KPS Barnoti by 2-0 sets at DAV Lachhipur at GHSS Thara Kulyal.
The competitions of Fencing for Under-14, 17 and 19 years were conducted in which 52 players drawn from 6 schools of district participated.
