Symposium organised on ‘Digital India’

KATHUA, Dec 3: Govt Degree College Kathua organised Province level inter-college symposium on ‘Digital India: Importance and Impact’ as a part of annual Prof Ravinder Rampal Memorial Function in collaboration with Prof DK Rampal Memorial Trust Channi Himmat, here today.
The scholarships were also dispersed among the students who got highest marks in their respective semester. This year about 15 colleges participated and scholarships were also given to an equal number.
Prof RD Sharma, former Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu was the chief guest of the event which was attended by people from all walks of life from academicians, judicial and civil society.
Principal GDC Kathua, Prof Samnesh Singh Jasrotia in his welcome address described in detail the mammoth potential of the College.
Prof RD Sharma described in detail about the topic and Prof DK Rampal Memorial Trust. He praised both the Institutions for organising such activities and lauded the efforts of College Principal and his team especially Prof Seema Malpotra, in-charge debates and academic activities and HoD Physics, Professor Jasvinder Singh, Dr Shivani Kotwal, Dr Anupma Arora and Dr Chetna Gupta and others.
The 1st prize in symposium was bagged by Aarti Sharma from GDC Bishnah, while 2nd prize by Neha Kumari from GDC Kathua and 3rd prize by Aryan Raj from GDC RS Pura, besides rest of the participants were conferred with consolation prizes.
