DODA, Sept. 15: Govt Degree College Doda organised a symposium on “Education and Morality” in the college premises here today.
The function was presided over by the Principal of the College Prof. Z.A.Hashmi. The function commenced with a prayer by a group of students. Seventeen students participated in the symposium.
Mohd Ayoob, Akhter Hussain and Rohit Parihar were adjudged Ist, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Trophies were awarded to positioners and consolation momentos to all the participants. In his presidential address Prof. Hashmi laid emphasis on the need for maintainance of discipline by the students upholding the rich moral inheritance. Education should be used as a weapon to uphold the moral values. Prof S.K. Sen, Prof. Ashwani, Prof. Srikant, and Prof. Baqir Ali acted as jury members. Prof. Bashir Ahmad acted as reportier. In the end Prof. Sen presented the vote of thanks. The whole programme was compared by Dr Ajaz Ahmad Wani.
