JAMMU, July 2: International Master Athlete Surjit Kumar Choudhary from Jammu and Kashmir is all set to participate in the 38th Sri Lanka Open Athletic Meet, to be held at Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Colombo, from July 5 to 7.
Surjit is the only athlete from J&K selected to compete in the prestigious international event, where over 50 athletes from India will also participate. Speaking ahead of his departure, Surjit expressed pride in representing India and the Union Territory of J&K, and said he is determined to perform well and bring laurels to the region. His participation marks a proud moment for the UT’s sporting community, especially in the field of athletics.
