Super Seven Cricket C’ship gets underway

JAMMU, Nov 19: J&K Union Territory level Super Seven Cricket Championship for boys in under-23 category, organised by J&K Super Seven Cricket Association, got underway, here today.
The championship is being organised under the aegis of Super Seven Cricket Federation of India wherein teams of various States including Odisha, Karnataka, MP, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Vidharbha, Jharkhand, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh are taking part in the championship.
Deputy Mayor Advocate Purnima Sharma was the chief guest of today’s match.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that by organising such types of championships especially for the youth of various States is a step towards making “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.
In the opening match, Jammu & Kashmir team won the match against Himachal Pradesh, wherein Himachal bundled out at 15 runs, while J&K chased the target in one over.
In another match, Maharashtra made 44 runs and registered win over Karnataka by 3 runs,  while Andhra Pradesh made 36 runs against the Uttar Pradesh which was chased by the Uttar Pradesh in three overs and won the match and  Jharkhand made 57 runs but Vidharbha bundled out at 29 runs, besides  Delhi (NCR) won from Rajasthan.
