JAMMU, Apr 19: Ace tennis players of Jammu and Kashmir namely Sumitpal Singh and Prinkle Singh excelled in the ongoing National Series All India Ranking Tournament under-18, being held at Chamunda Tennis Academy, Karnal in Haryana.
In boys category, Sumitpal Singh reached pre-quarterfinal by defeating Sidarth of Karnataka in second round by (6-2, 6-2), while in first round, he outplayed Harmeet Luthra of Uttar Pradesh by (6-2,6-2)
Meanwhile, in girls category under-18, Prinkle Singh defeated Srishti Singh of Haryana by (6-, 6-0). In the first round earlier, Prinkle trounced Adrija of West Bengal in three setter match. Prinkle lost the first set by 3-6, while in second set Prinkle played strongly and claimed it by 6-3 and in third scripted 6-2 victory. She will play pre-quarterfinal tomorrow.
