JAMMU, Oct 2: Keeping her State’s as well as Country’s flag high at the International scene, ace athlete Sudesh Kumari of Jammu and Kashmir won silver and a bronze medals in the prestigious International Singapore Masters Track & Field event at Toa Payon Stadium in Singapore.
Showing extraordinary motor ability, anticipation, stamina, besides grit and guts, Mrs Sudesh clinched silver in 400 meters relay race and 3 kilometers walk.
Apart from this achievement, Sudesh Kumari has the distinction of claiming gold in National Games at Dharamshalla in April 2015 and 4 gold medals in Invitational event at Alwar in Rajasthan.
She is the only athlete from the State in above 55 category to have this distinction.
Wife of a dedicated and well known walker of J&K, Tarsem Lal Basotra, the versatile runner of the State, Sudesh Kumari is a dedicated and hardworking sportsperson.
