Students shine in 2nd Nat’l Karate C’ship

JAMMU, Dec 30: Ten students of Association of Karate Jammu and Kashmir shined in the recently conducted 2nd National Karate Championship at Kota Rajasthan, organised by NKF Katare Do Federation of India.
The event was hosted by Raj Sports Karate Association, recognised by Rajasthan Olympic Association (ROA).
Kartavya Verma, Aarav Bhat, Nishant, Rohit Bhagat, Sumit Verma and Shivaay Hangloo clinched gold medals in Kumite in different age categories, while Gurpreet Singh, Aditya Angotra and Dishant Dogra bagged silver medals and Aarav Chib clinched bronze medal.
The students accompanied by team coach Sensei Amit Singh Black belt 4th Dan WKF, while Vikas Dhar was team manager and Surjeet Dogra was the assistant manager along with Abhimanyu Singh Charak.
Dr DS Dull, president All India University, Rishi Avasthi general secretary School Games Federation of India, Rahul Yadav, vice-president School Games Federation of India and Arun Saraswat general secretary Rajasthan Olympic Association.
