JAMMU, Jan 3: The students exhibit their talent in the J&K UT Kalarippayattu Championship, which was organized by Kalarippayattu Association of J&K.
In the Championship, around 160 students from various districts including Samba, Jammu, Poonch, Reasi, Kathua, Udhampur, Srinagar and Budgam took part.
On the occasion, Sumir Pandita, Senior Advocate J&K High Court was the chief guest, while Vishal Dharma, President Kalarippayattu Association of J&K was the guest of honour. Tarsem Sharma, Secretary, Kalarippayattu Association of J&K and Rajni Malhotra, Sports Coordinator KCIS were special guests.
In Sub Junior Boys, Inan Satish Dhar and Achut Gupta bagged first and second positions respectively in U-18 kg category, whereas in U-20 kg, Advait Gupta and Rubab Singh secured first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Darsh Bhat and Advait, in U-23 kg, Dikshant Gupta and Syed Nasirimam Kazmi clinched first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Sashwat Gupta and Satyam Vohra, in U-26 kg, Saksham, Arnav Pargal and Satvik Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in U-29 kg, Rakshit Khajuria and Prince Mehra bagged first and second positions respectively while the third position was shared by Aniq Umar Khan and Mohammad Yamaan, in U-32 kg, Droon Dushyant Kohli and Kanishq Sharma bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Danish Tuli and Nitin Singh, in U-35 kg, Nitin Kumar, Bhavya Bhat and Varun Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in U-38 kg, Vikas Sharma and Mushraf Ali bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Lakshiv Dogra and Satyam Bali.
In Sub Junior Girls, Aadhya Dhar, Khushi Mahajan and Atushi Sharma secured first, second and third positions respectively in U-19 kg, in U-23 kg, Tania Sharma, Ridhima Manhas and Ashdika Ganjoo bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in U-27 kg, Shagun Dogra, Drishti Khajuria and Tanvi Koul secured first, second and third positions respectively, in U-31 kg, Sunidhi Gupta, Nandika Jamoria and Anika Rai bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in U-35 kg, Kanak Pandotra and Harsheen Kour bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Palak Dogra and Prashansa Sharma.
In Junior Boys, Sheikh Mohammad Aazim and Pyush Bhagat bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Madhav Gupta and Kavyansh Anand in U-32 kg, in U-35 kg, Rudrashish Singh and Sagar Gupta bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Rishit Kapoor and Vinabhavasaram, in U-37 kg, Akshdeev Singh and Ayaan Koul bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Krishna Dubey and Yatharth Suri, in U-39 kg, Rajveer Sharma and Varun Sharma clinched first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Parshant Choudhary and Mohsin Abbas, in U-41 kg, Rudra Bakshi and Ali Akbar bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Aryan Mehra and Tanish Sharma, in U-44 kg, Monik Khan, Qamer Hussain and Satvik Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in U-47 kg, Zayin Dobriyal and Parth Mahajan bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Sudaksh Basnotra and Mridul Sharma.
In Junior Girls, Sudiksha Sharma, Ruhi and Muskan bagged first, second and third positions respectively in U-41 kg and in above 85 kg, Ina Dhar clinched first position, while Rishika Sharma and Palak Sharma shared second position.
In Senior Boys, Varun Kumar, Ayush Jasrotia and Harsh Vardhan Singh bagged first, second and third positions respectively in U-51 kg, in U-68 kg, Koushal Garg, Shreyas and Vishveshwar Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in U-71 kg, Kewal Sharma, Sahil Raina and Rajdeev Singh secured first, second and third positions respectively.
