JAMMU Oct 12: 11th J&K State Strength Lifting Champio-nship was concluded here today.
Over 100 players 8 teams from 8 Districts were participated in the two day event.
On the occasion, Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu was the chief guest, Siddarth Sharma, joint secretary sports council and Gautam Choudhary, executive committee member Strength Lifting Association were present.
Addressing during the conclusion function, he stressed upon the need and importance of sports in the society and assured his support for the promotion of this game in the state.
Vicky Mahajan president State Strength Lifting Association expressed his gratitude to Sports Council for providing the venue to promote the game through this championship.
Among others present on the occasion were SP Singh, Raman Sharma, Satpal Sharma, Adil, Ashok Singh, Ajeet Nagra and Balbir Singh.
