Jr Billiards matches get underway

JAMMU, Sept 10: Stanzin Stobdan and Rohit Chib sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash in Junior Snooker Championship, while Junior Billiards Championship got underway in the ongoing 26th State Billiards and Snooker Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
In semifinals, Stanzin Stobdan defeated Manik Sharma 3-1 by (53-13, 64-25, 58-75, 58-51), while Rohit Sharma trounced Furkan Wani 3-1 by (43-17, 81-74, 58-72, 49-26).
Earlier, in 1st round of Junior Billiards Championship, Navjot Singh defeated Vansh Gupta (2-1), Manav Pathania drubbed Gagandeep Singh (2-1), Saksham Mahajan outplayed Himanshu (2-0) and Basit Wani beat Abhirath Gulati (2-0), while in 2nd round, Ananya Mahajan defeated Navjot Singh (2-1), Manav Pathania beat Manik Sharma (2-1), Stanzin drubbed Akshat Gupta (2-0), Saksham outplayed Manv Pathania (2-0), Charanjeet Singh beat Shivanshu Manhas (2-1) and Aman Sharma got the better of Ketan Sharma (2-1).
