JAMMU, Mar 31: St Xavier Convent Senior Secondary School, Barnai celebrated 23rd Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function with pomp and show at Abhinav Theatre, here.
The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest Father Udhay Singh of St Paul’s Church.
SM Gill, former MLC; Director of the School, Er HR Padha and Principal Pankaj Vihans were the guests of honour.
The lighting of the lamp was followed by Sarswati Vandana and blessings by Rev/Father.
The students presented a variety of cultural items besides skits in the languages of English, Hindi, Dogri, Kashmiri and Punjabi.
The Director of the School presented annual report and highlighted the achievements of the school.
The students were felicitated for academic and extra-curricular achievements.
All the meritorious students were honoured with cash prize, mementos and certificates.
Mr Gill lauded the efforts of the teachers and students for fabulous show.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Principal and the programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem.
