JAMMU, Feb 17: Shanti Swaroop Memorial Public Higher Secondary School, Sarwal/Patoli Jammu celebrated its 23rd Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function with pomp and show at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here.
Avinash Chander Aima, Joint Director, School Education Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent educationists Prem Lata Anand, Amrit Kaur and Jyotsana Bhargav were the guests of honour.
The programme with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the distinguished guests, which included RK Bali, president of School Mnagement Committee and School Principal Kusum Bhatia.
A variety of cultural items were presented by the students, which included Ganesh Vandana and Dogri, Marathi, Rajasthani and Punjabi folk dances.
A drama based on different portraits and roles of women ‘Nari’ was staged by the students on the occasion.
Principal Kusum Bhatia presented Annual Report of the School and also presented vote of the thanks, after the Prize Distribution Function.
