JAMMU, Mar 2: SRML Cricket Club Jammu and Samba Sports Football Club registered emphatic wins over their rivals in their respective summit clashes and clinched the title trophies in the ongoing JKS Range level Sports Festival, organized by Range Police Headquarters Jammu under Civic Action Program at Parade ground here today.
In the Cricket final, SRML Jammu defeated Balahare Club kathua by 9 wickets to win the title.
Batting first, B C Kathua bundled out for paltry total of 90 runs in 18 overs. Abhijeet (18), Shubam (17) and Satyan (11) were the main contributors. From SRML, Govind took 5 wickets, Kanhaiya took 2 wickets while Danesh, Abhinav and Vivrant shared 1 wicket each.
SRML Jammu, in reply chased the target in 11.2 overs for the loss of 1 wicket, thus won the match by 9 wickets. Kanhaiya top scored with unbeaten 50 runs, while Vivrant and Dikshant contributed 21 and 17 runs to the total respectively. From bowling side, Shubdeep took the lone wicket to fall. Govind was adjudged as the man of the match. Raghu and Vishal were declared as best batsman and best bowler respectively, while Kanhaiya was declared as the man of the series.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-Ur- Rehman, Sadiq Hussain Malik, Ashok, Sanju, Vinod and Sandeep.
In the football final, Samba Sports Club defeated Hiranagar Football club by 3 -0 goals. The final match was officiated by Suresh Gupta, Chandan kumar, Rahul Ghai and Sanju Kumar whereas the proceedings of the final function were conducted by famous anchor RP Singh.
