SRINAGAR, Apr 19: Districts Srinagar and Kishtwar registered victories over their rivals in boys section, while Jammu District scripted win over their rivals in the girls section of the ongoing JKSSC Youth Football League, here.
The first match was played in the boys’ category between Srinagar and Poonch. The game was dominanted by Srinagar from the word go and ended with a score of 6-0 in favour of Srinagar. Parvaiz scored 4 goals from Srinagar, while Mehran and Afreen netted 1 goal each.
The second match of the day was played between District Pulwama and Kishtwar in boys category. Both the teams attacked each other, but it was Kishtwar which proved to be better to score three back to back goals and won the match by three goals to nil (3-0). The goal scorers for Kishtwar were Danish, Hamid and Anvesh.
The third and final match of the day was played in girls category between Budgam and Jammu. Jammu dominated the possession from the beginning and controlled the game till the end. Budgam tried hard but couldn’t score, while as Jammu scored four goals through Dechan Angmo, Dolkar, Zarifa and Rigzin.
In tomorrow’s fixture 4 matches will be played with three in girls section, wherein Leh will take on Kathua, Bandipora will face Budgam and Srinagar will meet Baramula.
In boys section, Pulwama will lock horns with Samba.
The event is being organised by State Football Academy under the supervision of J&K State Sports Council and is being supported by J&K Football Association.
