JAMMU, Nov 29: To commemorate the IIIM Foundation Day, sports week has been launched at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu here today.
Various sports activities in the disciplines of Cricket, Volleyball and Badminton are being organized this year, as a part of foundation day celebrations. Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM inaugurated the sport event in which a T20 cricket match was played between MIER Cricket Academy and Udhay Super Kings.
MIER team won the toss and elected to bat first and they scored 178 runs in 20 overs on the loss of 6 wickets, in reply Udhay Super Kings scored 161 runs in 18.1 overs at the loss of 10 wickets. MIER Cricket Academy won this match by 17 runs. Dr. Zabeer Ahmed also highlighted the pivotal role of sports activities in fostering unity and camaraderie among the institute’s members. He urged the players to embrace the positive spirit of the game and applauded the organizing committee members for orchestrating such sporting events within the institute.
