Tigers outplay Lions in T20 match

JAMMU, Feb 2: J&K Tigers got the better of J&K Lions in T20 cricket match being organized under “Fit India Khelo Bharat” initiative in collaboration with University of Jammu at University ground, here.
Earlier, Tarun Sharma of J&K Tigers won the toss and decided to field.
Put into bat, J&K Lions scored 129 runs in the allotted 20 overs, wherein Captain Karan Sharma played a splendid innings of 55 runs. From Jammu Tigers, Akash and Narayan scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, Jammu Tigers chased the target in 16 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Vikas Choudhary top scored with 48 runs, while Vijay Kumar played a splendid innings of 47 runs in just 19 balls.
From Jammu Lions Rahul Koul and Bunty Kumar took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Vijay Sharma of Jammu Tigers was adjudged as the man of the match.
BJP State President, Ravinder Raina was the chief guest on the occasion, who was accompanied by Former Minister & Ex-MLA Sat Sharma and BJP State General Secretary Yudhveer Sethi.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Raina said that sports apart from helping youth to be physically fit, also inculcates leadership qualities among them.
BJP State Secretary Arvind Gupta, former Minister Sham Choudhary former MLC Vibodh Gupta, District President Jammu Vinay Gupta, District President Jammu West Munish Khajuria, Jaideep Samyal were also present on the occasion.
