Sports festival ‘Jashn-e-Dal-2021’ organized by J&K Police concludes

SRINAGAR, Oct 9: Three day long water sports festival ‘Jashn-e-Dal-2021’ organized by J&K Police under its Civic Action Programme, concluded at SKICC Dal lake, here today.
Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, whereas Junaid Mattoo Mayor SMC, Dheeraj Gupta- Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department J&K, AK Choudhary- Special DG Crime, Dr. SD Singh Jamwal- ADGP Security, T.Namgayal-ADGP Traffic, MK Sinha- ADGP Hqrs, Sunil Kumar- ADGP Railways, Danesh Rana- ADGP Coordination PHQ, Garib Dass-IGP Hqrs, and Alok Kumar-IGP CIV PHQ were present during the event.
While addressing the function the chief guest appreciated the efforts of J&K Police for organising such sports events. He said that a congenial atmosphere and appropriate infrastructure shall be established in the Valley, so that the youth of the J&K can exhibit their talent in different games.
In the final event of the Shikara Race, Kayaking and Canoe Demo, followed by Paddle Past by the participating players took place at the closing ceremony. Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta along with DGP and ADGP Armed J&K flagged off the final Shikara Race, followed by a presentation ceremony also took place wherein chief guest joined by Mayor Junaid Mattoo and other dignitaries presented medals among winners.
Wasim Raja, Parvaiz and Mohd Altaf clinched top three positions of Shikara race and awarded with cash prizes by the chief guest, whereas Yawar Abbas, Suhail Dar and Irfan Ahmad stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd in in swimming 100 mtrs men, and in swimming 50 mtrs men, the winners were Yawar Abbas, Saif Illahi and Irfan Ahmad, besides in swimming 50 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Mohd Abbas, Ashiq Hussain and Anis Bhat, while in swimming 100 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Mohd Abbas, Ashiq Hussain and Mehfuz Ahmad and in swimming 50 mtrs sub-junior boys, the winners were Sahil Abbas and Mohd Hussain.
In swimming relay freestyle 4 x50 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Mohd Abbas, Owais Ali, Ansar Ali, Ashiq Hussain, w Nazeem Ahmad, Anas Bhat, Mohd Ali, Aiesh Bhat; Amir Ali, Owais Hussain, Shabir Hussain and Mohd Abbas, whereas in swimming relay freestyle 4 x 50 mtrs men, the winners were Irfan Ahmad Waseem Raja, Suhail Dar Mudasir Yosuf, Saif Illahi, Mohd Irfan, Yawar Abbas, Danish Bashir, Ashiq Hussain, Mohd Abbas, Owais Ali and Ansar Abbas.
In demb boat race 500 mtrs men, the winners were Villayat Hussain/ Moisar Ahmad, , Ahsan Ali/ Maqsood Hussain , and Mohd Yaseen Khan/ Khalid Ahmad, whereas in demb boat race 500 mtrs women, the winners Nisha/ Ishrat, Mehwish/ Rukhsana and Asifa/ Tabsum and in indoor rowing 500 mtrs sub-junior boys, the winners were Arfat Yaqoob, Fayaz Ahmad and Faisal Ahmad, whereas in indoor rowing 500 mtrs men, Sahil Ashraf, Waseem Raja and Umar Farooq were among the winners and in K-1 200 mtrs men), the winners were Mohd Abbas and Ishfaq Ahmad, besides in water ski men, the winners were Waseem Raja, Showkat Ahmad Bhat and Zubair Ahmad Kuloo, while in water ski women, the winners were Atrah, Maliha and Nisha Bashir and in long distance swimming men, the winners were Waseem Raja, Khalid Majeed and Yawar Hussain and 4th to 10th position holders of the said event were Ehsaan, Mysar Bhat, Adil Hussain Tinda, Showkat Ali Bhat, Danish Bashir, Sajad Ali and Ansaar Hussain.
Similarly in long distance swimming junior boys, the winners were Mohd Abbas Kand, Ashiq Hussain, and Anas Bhat, whereas 4th to 10th position holders were Nazeem, Mehfeez Ahmad Bhat, Dawood, Parvaiz, Aish Ahmad, Mudasir and Mohammad Esa.
Ansar Ali Matoo, Mohsin Ali and Showkat Ahmad were among the winners of K-1 500 mtrs men category, whereas in K-2 500 mtrs men, the winners were Maqsood/ Villayat, Dawood/ Ansar and Mohsin/ Aamir and in K-2 200 mtrs men, the winners were Villayat Hussain/ Maqsood, Ishfaq/ Altaf Hussain and Ansar Ali/ Dawood Hussain, besides in C-1 500 mtrs men, the first three position holders were Mysar Ahmad, Asif Ali Malik and Waseem Raja, while in C-2 500 mtrs men, Adil/ Asif, Ahsan/ Myser and Irfan/ Waseem and in C-1 200 mtrs men, the winners were Mysar Bhat, Adil Hussain and Waseem Raja.
In C-2 200 mtrs men, the winners were Asif Ali/ Adil Hussain, Khalid/ Yaseer and Masior/ Ahsan, whereas in in K-1 500 mtrs women, Nabeela, Ruksana and Nisha and in K-2 500 mtrs women, the winners were Shaista/ Nabeela, Yasmeena/ Nadiya and Nisha/ Shafili, besides in K-2 200 mtrs women, the winners were Nisha/ Shafali, Asifa/ Tabasum and Yasmeena/ Naida, while in K-1 200 mtrs sub-junior boys, the winners were Danish Abbas, Umer Ahmad and Aarif Hussain and in K-1 200 mtrs sub-junior girls, the winners were Nabila Khan, Anuksha and Saquib Zehra.
In K-1 500 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Fida Hussain, Amir Ali and Uzair, whereas in K-1 200 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Mohd Abbas, Mohsin Ali and Dawood, and in K-2 200 mtrs, the winners were Fida/ Mohd Abbas, Mohsin/ Amir and Uzair/ Arfat, besides, in C-1 500 mtrs junior boys), the winners were Adil Hussain, Mohd Akbar and Sahil Abbas, while in C-2 500 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Shahnaz/ Danish, Zahid Hussain/ Adil Hussain and Owais Ali/ Mohd Akbar and in in C-1 200 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Basit, Owais and Sahil Abbas, moreover, in C-2 200 mtrs junior boys, the winners were Zahid/ Adil Hussain, Sahil Abbas/ Asif Ali and Mohd Akbar/ Owais, while in indoor rowing 500 mtrs women, Ishrat Hamid, Sakeena Nissar and Aneesa were among winners and in swimming 50 mtrs girls, the winners were Nabila Khan, Farhana Amin and Zoobia Tariq.
All the winners were awarded with cash prizes accordingly set by the J&K Police during the event.
