Sports Council Jammu reviews arrangements for Khelo India Games

JAMMU, Mar 20: The State Sports Council today reviewed the arrangements for organizing the forthcoming Khelo India Games in Jammu.
A meeting in this regard was held at the Sports House MA Stadium, Jammu which was chaired by Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman Sports Council of Jammu.
The Games are being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council in various districts of the State under the patronage of the Chief Minister, who is also the President of the State Sports Council.
The Games are being held under the aegis of Union Sports Ministry, Government of India.
The Games will be held at the Block, District and State level.
The Games in Jammu will be commencing from March 26, 2017 in different blocks of District Jammu and will culminate on March 31, 2017 at MA stadium, Jammu.
The arrangements for organizing the Games in Districts of Rajouri and Poonch were also reviewed in the meetings.
The Meeting among others was attended by International footballer Arun Malhotra and Nazir Ahmad, Members of the State Sports Council, Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer J&K Sports Council, Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer and Iqbal Singh.
