SAMBA, Aug 11: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council organised Gymnastic competitions at Indoor Hall Samba, here today.
Gymnasts from Kathua, Jammu and Samba took part in the competitions in various categories including Artistic, Rhythmic and Aerobics.
Chairman District Development Council Samba, Keshav Dutt Shama was the chief guest on the occasion who appreciated the efforts of the Council for organizing such type of events in Samba.
Earlier, the chief guest was welcomed by Arjuna Awardee, Krupali Patel Singh who was the Director of the today’s event, followed by welcome speech delivered by Satish Gupta, Manager Sports Council. The program was hosted by SP Singh Manager Sports Council, Jammu.
In Rhythmic Gymnastics, Muskan Rana stood first, whereas Simran Kour got 2nd place and Jiya Thakur remained 3rd, whereas in Artistic boys section, Badal of Kathua secured first place, while Vivek Sumbria won second position and 3rd place was clinched by Sawrakshak Dogra besides in Aerobics boys category, Vikas Gupta stood first, Gagan and Laksh Mahajan remained 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The competitions were judged by Sahil Sahi, Parul Mehra, Ajit Raj, Manisha Gupta & Stuti Gupta, whereas vote of thanks was presented by Krishan Singh.
Krishan Singh, president District Samba Kabaddi Association, Ajat Shatru Singh, secretary District Samba Hockey Association and Baljinder Pal Singh, Manager of Indoor Stadium Samba were present during the event.
