JAMMU, Oct 25: Proving their might and mettle, the roller skaters (Speed) brought laurels to State by winning 12 medals in the First National Ranking Roller Skating Championship 2019 organised by Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) at Greno Speed Skating Rink in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, recently.
The medallist skaters of Jammu and Kashmir include Kartikeya Puri (2 gold, 1 silver), Samarjot Singh (1 gold, 2 silver), Prageet Kour (1 bronze), Tamanna Saini (1 gold, 1 silver) and Puneesh Puri (2 silver, 1 bronze).
Parents of medalist skaters also thanked Arjun Gandotra, International Speed Skater for being inspiration and guiding force.
While felicitating the medallist skaters in a function held here at Shiva Roller Skating Rink Peerkho, President J&K Roller Skating Association GS Khurmi, the chief guest on the occasion, applauded the talented and dedicated skaters of Jammu for their superlative performance in the national skating arena.
