Specially abled cricket team for National flagged off

JAMMU, Oct 29: Rajesh Gill former Ranji player, member of Indian Cricketers Association, Apex Council Member of JKCA and mentor of J&K Physically Challenged Cricket team today flagged off J&K cricket team of specially abled players for their participation in Inter State Cricket tournament for the disabled Cricketers which is going to be organized “to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab bai Patel” at Lucknow (UP) from October 31. The Tournament shall be organized by the Devyang Cricket Association of India.
While speaking on the occasion Rajesh Gill advised the captain and players of J&K team to play as a cohesive unit, motivate each other during the matches and try to play for the victory . He also guided the players and discussed various aspects of different cricket strategies for displaying great performance in the national level matches. He conveyed his best wishes to the team for the successful performance in the championship.
J&K team: Mohd. Nadeem (Captain), Jagmohan Singh, Nikhal Manhas, Yawar Mubarak, Majid Ahmad, Vivek, Firdous Ahmad, Ayaz Ahmad (Wkt.Keeper),Ravi Kumar, Vasihno Dev, Waseem, Amir, Zahoor Ahmad, Manzoor, Zafar and Shahid. J&K team will play its first match on 2nd November against Gujrat and there are four league matches for every participating teams in the first round then top team of each pool will qualify the semis.
