JAMMU, May 16: Minister of State Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi today attended Mother’s Day celebrations at Nightingale pre-school, here.
Speaking at the function, Priya Sethi said world over the day is celebrated to honour motherhood and the special bond between child and mother. She said mother shares a special and sacred bond with all family members and is the common thread that binds the family together.
She said the day is to celebrate the unconditional love and the sacrifices a mother does for the family and her children, adding that mothers are pillars of strength, guiding force and sunshine for children.
On the occasion special variety program was presented by school kids and little tiny-tots. The children expressed their love by reciting poems and presented souvenirs to their mothers.
Special games were organised for participating mothers and the winners were awarded by the Minister.
The Minister lauded efforts of the school led by its Principal Sonia Jain and staff.
