JAMMU, Feb 14: Special athletes of Special Olympics Bharat J&K got third position in Handball National Coaching Camp at Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
Special athletes from different States of India participated in this national event. The sole motive of this sports event was to involve special athletes and empower their self confidence and sportsmanship as well as their hidden talent through the medium of sports.
A team of 8 male athletes namely Jasdeep Singh, Chaman, Rakesh, Ravinder, Paramjeet, Nitish, Pardeep, Rohit and and 2 female athletes namely Sakshi and Kauveri.
These atheletes were accompanied by support staff including Head Coach Sahil Badyal, Vikram Pratap and Shivani.
All the Special athletes from the State got exposure and their parents and caretakers were enthusiastic for more such future events to uplift the morale of these children.
The event was held under the overall supervision of Melvin Clive, Senior Manager Sports SOB National Office; Virender Kumar Area Director Haryana and Bhupal Mehta Sports Director Uttar Pradesh.
All Special athletes of Special Olympic Bharat SOB Jammu & Kashmir participated under skilled guidance of Raj Kumar Sharma, Area Director SOB-J&K.
