JAMMU, Dec 17: Additional Director General OF Police (ADGP) HQ, SP Vaid inaugurated the 10th Speed Mobike Dirt Track Racing Championship, being organized by J&K Adventure Motor Sports Association in an impressive function at Mini Stadium, Parade ground, here.
Pardeep Majotra emerged fastest biker on Day-1 by clocking 13.11 minutes to complete 10 rounds of Racing Track of 600 meters.
Amardeep Singh clocked a time of 13.30, followed by Amit Bandhari (14.09), Vijay Singh Rathore (14.12), Goutam Uppal (14.30), Jograj (15.01), Sunil (15.36) and Ravinder Kumar (16.29).
Semifinals will be held tomorrow at 11 am.
25 bikers in below 180 CC category are participating in the event, which is being organized by JKAMSA in association with Bharat Patroleum and J&K State Sports Council and is being sponsored by HDFC Bank, Pepsi and Kashmir Handloom House.
Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Javaid Ahmed Shah was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were IGP JP Singh, chairman JKAMSA; Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu; Ranjit Singh, president JKAMSA, Vikram Singh Rathore, general secretary JKAMSA and Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager BPCL.
