SRINAGAR, Aug 14: SP College Srinagar drubbed Amar Singh College Srinagar by 7 wickets to advance in the ongoing Parvaiz Qureshi Memorial Invitational Cricket Cup, being organized by Kashmir wing of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Kashmir University grounds, here.
Electing to bat, Amar Singh College scored 128 runs in 35.3 overs. Wasim Ramzan and Asif Malik scored 21 and 20 runs respectively. For SP College, Wajid was the pick of the bowlers, who captured 3 important wickets, while Irfan claimed 2 wickets.
SP College, in reply, chased the target in 21.1 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Gowhar was the top scorer with unbeaten 37 runs, while Obair contributed 26 runs to the total. For AS College, Wasim Ramzan claimed 2 wickets, while Basharat took one wicket.
The match was officiated by Nazir Ahmed and Sameer Ahmed as umpires, while Javed was the scorer.
