SHOPIAN, Dec 4: South Kashmir Sports Festival commenced today during which a cricket match was played between DC-XI and SSP-XI at Sports Stadium Shopian.
DC-XI won the match by seven wickets. On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Shopian G M Dar was the chief guest and SSP Shopian the guest of honour.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner presented cash prizes and trophy to the winning team. He also awarded mementos to runner-up team in presence of World Kickboxing Champion Tajamul Islam. A large number of spectators turned up to witness the match.
