UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: Quarterfinal and semis matches were played on the second day of District Open Table Tennis Championship, being organized by District Table Tennis Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association at Indoor Sports Hall Subash Stadium, here.
In Sub Junior Boys, Sourav Sharma will take on Madhav Sharma in the final tomorrow. Earlier in the first semis, Sourav Sharma beat Varun Bhardwaj by 3-1, whereas in the second semifinal match, Madhav Sharma beat Prince Gupta by 3-2.
In Junior Boys, Prince beat Harshit by 3-2 and sailed into final.
In Junior Girls, Palak will clash with Sonali Rajput in the summit clash tomorrow. Earlier, Palak beat Suyesha by 3-1 in the first semis and Sonali Rajput defeated Gungun by 3-2 in the second semis.
In Senior Girls, Siya beat Radhika by 3-2 and entered into finals and Pratiba beat Sonali Rajput by 3-1.
In Senior Boys, Yogeshwar and Rohit Gupta entered into the semifinal round. Earlier, Yogeshwar Beat Manik Sharma by 3-2 in the first quarterfinal match and in the second quarterfinal match, Rohit Gupta registered win over Kanhaiya by 3-1.
Vinod Kumar Baru President of the Association, Tarun General Secretary, Prikshit Khajuria Treasurer, Ankit Sharma Joint Secretary, Akash Sharma Organizing Secretary and Sunny Sharma Vice President were also present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Maninder Singh, Varun Gupta, Sourav Sharma and Vipin.
The felicitation ceremony-cum-prize distribution function will be held tomorrow.
