JAMMU, July 8: The J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association announced that Sonakshi Khajuria has been selected for the National Kabaddi Coaching Camp ahead of the 3rd Asian Youth Kabaddi Champion-ship, scheduled to be held in Bahrain from October 19 to 25. The camp will commence shortly at the SAI Centre.
Sonakshi earned her place during the 1st Youth National Kabaddi Championship held in Haridwar, Uttarakhand from June 28 to July 1, where her performance impressed the selection committee of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India. She has previously represented Jammu & Kashmir in the 33rd Sub-Junior National Kabaddi Championship held in Patna, Bihar (2024) and the 68th National School Games in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh (2024).
Anil Kumar Gupta, President of the Association, congratulated Sonakshi and appreciated the selectors of the J&K girls’ team -Manmeet Kour, Kajal Devi, Naida Nabi and Nisha Rani. He gave special mention to Coach Nisha Rani, under whose guidance Sonakshi trained and excelled.
