JAMMU, June 12: Singh Challenger Cricket Club defeated Country Cricket Club in an easy contest by 8 wickets in the ongoing JKCA District Level Cricket Tournament, being held under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA; Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and under the supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission and Member JKCA at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Country Cricket Club after winning the toss scored a modest total of 100 runs. Nikhil was the highest scorer with 33 runs, while Surya and Agastya contributed 21 and 12 runs to the total respectively. From Singh Challenger Cricket Club, Binny and Rohit took 2 wickets each, while Sham Singh claimed one wicket.
Singh Challenger Club chased the target easily by losing 2 wickets to win the match by 8 wickets. Rahul top scored with 47 runs, while Varun and Abhishek contributed 27 and 15 runs to the total respectively. Arun and Eshant took one wicket each from Country Cricket Club. Rahul was adjudged as the man of the match for superb batting display.
