Singh CC enters finals of Thakur Dass Memorial T20 Tournament

AKHNOOR, Jan 7: Defeating Kameshwar Cricket Club by 9 wickets in the semifinals, Singh Cricket Club (SCC) Akhnoor entered the finals of the Thakur Dass Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Batting first, Kameshwar Club scored a modest total of 122 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Vikas scored 16 runs, while Jaanu, Atul Guta and Shubham contributed 15 runs each.  For SCC, Binny took 3 wickets, while Sham Singh Langeh and Rajinder Sharma took 2 wickets each. Pankaj Verma and Pankaj Sharma claimed one wicket each.
In reply, SCC chased the target in 11 overs. Sunny Mahi was the top scorer with power-packed unbeaten 79 runs off 39 balls, while Pankaj Sharma and Govil Sharma contributed 17 and 11 runs to the total respectively. Atul Gupta was the only successful bowler from Kameshwar Cricket Club, who claimed the wicket of Govil Sharma. Sunny Mahi of Singh Cricket Club was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant knock of 79 runs.
The match was officiated by Joginder Magotra and Madan Lal as umpires.
