Singh CC enters final, Bhawani Katra Club scripts easy win

JAMMU, July 3: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor defeated Palanwala Cricket Club by 7 wickets at GGM Science College Hostel ground today to seal berth in the finals, while Bhawani Katra Cricket Club  got the better of YCC Reasi by 6 wickets at Sports Stadium, Reasi to enter into the next round of the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association under the overall supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Member, Committee of Members JKCA, at various venues in Jammu province.
At GGM  Sceince College Hostel ground, batting first, Palanwala Cricket Club scored a modest total of 100 runs in 19.4 overs. Arvind top scored with 29 runs, while Deepak, Sachin and Ranjeet contributed 16, 12 and 10 runs  respectively. Pankaj and Jasvinder captured 3 wickets each, while skipper Sham Singh claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club chased the target in 15 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Manik, Sumit and Sunil Sharma contributed 35, 26 and 14 runs respectively. From Palanwala Cricket Club, Arvind, Ritik and Chetan took 1 wicket each.
At Sports Stadium Reasi, Bhawani Katra Cricket Club defeated YCC Reasi by 6 wickets.
Batting first, YCC Reasi scored 189 runs in 25 overs. Ankush top scored with unbeaten 75 runs, while Munna and Amit contributed 36 and 28 runs resepctively. Babar took 3 wickets, while Deepak and Harpreet claimed 1 wicket each for Bhawani Katra CC.
In reply, Bhawani Katra CC chased the target in 22 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Himalya top scored with 51 runs, while Ajit and Arjun contributed 34 and 28 runs to the total resepctively. For YCC Reasi, Darshan took 2 wickets, while Amit and Ankush claimed 1 wicket each.
Meanwhile, at Police Line Ground Ramban, Seri Cricket Club defeated Maitra King XI by 20 runs. Batting first, Seri Cricket Club scored 166 runs in 22 overs, while in reply, Maitra King XI managed to score 146 runs in 20.3 overs.
