JAMMU, Oct 2: Singh CC trounced R S Pura Zone by 73 runs in an exhibition match, organised by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the supervision of Club president Sham Singh Lengeh at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, here.
Batting first, Singh CC scored 215 runs by losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Summit Rajput made 74 runs off 34 balls while Jadvinder Singh, Manik Sharma and Sunil Bendy contributed 68, 27 and 20 runs respectively. For RS Pura Zone, Ravinder, Jasbir and Harrey clinched two wickets each.
Chasing the target, R S Pura Zone bundled out at 142 runs by losing all wickets in 18.4 overs. Jasbir scored 37 runs, Manjeet Singh 27 runs whereas Atul Sharma and Vikas made 22 and 31 runs respectively. For Singh CC Akhnoor, Binny Kesar got 3 wickets, Pankaj and Summit clinched 2 wickets each while SSL, Govil and Chander Kiran bagged 1 wicket each.
Man of the Match was shared by Sumit Rajput and Jadvinder Singh. Vikas Bali and Dayal Singh were empires for the match while Sushil Gupta and Raman Sharma acted scorers.
Vinod Sharma, President DCJ was the chief guest on the occasion.
