JAMMU, Sept 5: Outplaying Laxmi Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the quarterfinal, Simula Cricket Club sealed berth in the semifinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup, being played at natural turf wicket at KC Sports Club ground, here.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Laxmi Cricket Club scored a modest total of 105 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Dhruv Mahajan top scored with 33 runs, whiler Yogesh Sikka and Vivek contributed 20 and 11 runs respectively. For Simula, left-arm spinner, Ritik captured 3 important wickets, while another left-arm spinner Kuldeep Kumar and medium pacer Vikram claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Simula Cricket Club chased the required target easily in 18.3 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Shashi top scored with 24 runs, while Satish contributed quick-fire 23 runs tot the total. For Laxmi, Aman, Sameer Khajuria, Yogesh and Kulvinder took 1 wicket apiece.
