Badminton Championship under ‘Khelo India’

JAMMU, Oct 24: The duo of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Simrandeep Singh and District Development Commissioner (DDC) Jammu, Sushma Chouhan got the better of the pair of Balbir and Sandeep Kour by (2-0) sets in the ongoing Badminton Championship under ‘Khelo India’, being organised by the District Administration in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
In another match of XD category, the pair of Lalit Arora and Preeti beat Vivek Mehta and Rakhi by (2-0) sets.
In semifinal of Badminton C 75 +, Gurvinder and Sarvanan beat Vikram and Vikram S by 2-0 sets, while in Under-17 boys singles semifinal, Sehdev Singh defeated Yasdeep Singh by 2-0 sets.
In Under-14 boys’ singles quarterfinal, Sarthak Jain defeated Arush thakur by 2-0 sets, while Vaibhav Mehta drubbed Abhishek Sudan by 2-0 sets.
In Under-17 boys doubles semifinal, Rakshit and Vansh defeated Abhinav and Atul by 2-0 sets.
In Under-14 girls singles final, Unnati (KVSI) beat Skiedeep (Banyan International) by 2-1 sets.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
