JAMMU, Sept 7: Shuttlers continued to exhibit their talent on the Day 2 of the All J&K State Ranking and Selection Badminton Championships, being organized by J&K Badminton Association at indoor sports complex, Badminton Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
The technical officials were Satpal Sharma, Vikram Diani, Balbir Jamwal, Rahul Sharma, Referee, Sukhdev Singh and Balbir Jamwal, General Secretary J&K Badminton Association.
In U-19 Boys Singles, Nakul Vaid, Bhavya Sharma, Sehdev Singh and Puranjay Sharma defeated rivals Aryan Gupta, Sarabpreet Singh, Yashdeep Singh and Ojas and sailed into semifinal round, whereas in girls section, Unnati Jaral, Mannu Baloria, Shambhavi Rajpur and Krishka beat rivals Shalli, Shrijus, Sumidhi Gupta and Rakhi and entered into seminfinal stage.
In U-19 Boys Doubles, Karan and Abhijeet defeated Sambhav and Akshit, Vansh and Sanyam defeated Rabdeep and Nakul, Rikshit and Ijas defeated Brijeshwar and Ayush and Sarabpreet and Puranjay beat Aryan and Jatin.
In Mixed Doubles, Puranjay and Shrijus will take on Sarabpreet and Pranjal in the final. Earlier, Puranjay and Shrijus defeated Nakul and Shambhavi in first semis, whereas in second semifinal, Yashdeep and Mannu lost to Sarabpreet and Pranjal.
In Men Singles, Raghav Dogra defeated Gourab Shaksham, while Nakul Vaid beat Mohit Verma.
In Women Singles, Krishika defeated Shrijus and sailed into semis, while Unnati Jaral beat Shambhavi and registered berth in semis.
In Men Doubles, Mohit and Shishank defeated Shivam and Sunit, while Sarandeep and Aryan lost to Harsh and Akshay.
