Shun TV, play games: Dr Chaudhary to KP youth

JAMMU, Jan 27: Renowned Physician & Neurologist and Chairman Shri Bhatt Medical Mission, Dr KL Chaudhary stressed upon the Kashmiri Pandit youth to avoid watching Television and devote time for participating in games and sports to develop physical as also mental fitness.
Dr Chaudhary said this during an impressive felicitation function, organized by Orzu Sports Gym, Jagti to honour the players of the winners and runners-up teams of Under-14 Boys Cricket Tournament held at playfield in Jagti township.
Dr Chaudhary said that games and sports apart from helping youth to be healthy and fit, infuse sportsman spirit and discipline among them.
Meanwhile, in the summit clash of the tournament, Jagti Super Kings drubbed Jagti Royals by 7 wickets in an easy contest. Batting first, Jagti Royals scored 127 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, while in reply, Jagti Super Kings chased the target easily in 15.3 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Sahil Khera was adjudged man of the match, while Ayush Raina was declared as man of the series. Akash was named as best fielder of the tournament.
The chief guest along with other dignitaries distributed trophies and mementoes among the players on the occasion.
Earlier, Subhash Ji of Orzu Gym presented welcome address, while Omesh Raina, vice president, KPs Haridwar Welfare Committee presented vote of thanks.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Prof AN Sadhu, former president Kashmiri Pandit Sabha and Social activists Sanjay Dhar, Veer Ji Bhat and Roop Ji.
The winners were also presented sports gear along with kit bag by Shri Bhatt Medical Mission.
