Shrine Board starts membership for Sports complex

KATRA, July 26: Membership for the Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, Katra was started at a brief function held here. Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) distributed the membership cards to 40 members on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CEO dwelt on the state-of-the-art infrastructure and sports facilities made available at this magnificent Sports Complex recently established by the Shrine Board. He urged members of various sports clubs, sports persons and people at large to benefit from the excellent facilities put in place by the Shrine Board for the promotion of sports and games in the area.
He informed that an annual calendar of sports activities has been formulated for organizing various events in the Sports Complex for promoting sports activities in our youth. He further informed that specialized coaching wiil be provided in some of the identified disciplines with a target to produce excellence in the sports at various levels.
Dr. Piyush Singla, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board gave details of various initiatives taken by the Board for the promotion of sports and games.
Dr. Arvind Karwani, Deputy CEO, SMVDSB, presented Vote of Thanks. Among those present on the occasion were Devinder Singh Bhau, Deputy CEO, SMVDSB, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K State Sports Council and a number of people of the area.
