JAMMU, Apr 16: Ace fencer Shreya Gupta has been selected to represent India at the Senior Fencing World Cup scheduled to be held in Athens, Greece from April 17 to 19, 2026.
The prestigious international competition will witness participation from top fencers across the globe. Shreya is among four elite Indian athletes chosen for this high-level event, marking another significant milestone in her sporting career.
A senior gold medallist this year, she has consistently performed well on the national circuit, earning recognition for her skill, discipline, and determination. She has also previously represented India at the World Cup in Tashkent, strengthening her international experience.
Shreya has been undergoing training at Vijay Bharat Academy, Ahmedabad for the past four years under expert coaching. Her selection has brought pride to Jammu and Kashmir and is being seen as a major boost for fencing in the region.
