Shooting coaches achieve ISSF ‘B’ Judge Status, felicitated by Sodhi

JAMMU, Apr 2: SS Sodhi, President of the J&K Rifle Association and Governing Body Member of the Rifle Association of India, felicitated Rajesh Virdhy, Pranav Sambyal and Romijeet Singh for qualifying as International Shooting Judges (ISSF ‘B’ License), calling it a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir’s sporting fraternity.
The trio successfully cleared the ISSF ‘B’ Judges Course held from March 28 to April 1, 2026, at Crowne Plaza, New Delhi Okhla. The program, conducted by internationally acclaimed instructors Paul Gam and Wataru Fuji, saw participation from 36 candidates across India, Japan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Sodhi lauded their dedication, professionalism and technical expertise, noting that their achievement would strengthen the region’s shooting sports ecosystem and inspire young aspirants. He also thanked the NRAI, the Lt. Governor, the J&K Sports Council and former DGP Dilbagh Singh for their support in promoting sports in the UT.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Sharat Chander Singh (CEO & General Secretary), Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Chairman Arun Mansotra and members of JKRA, who extended their congratulations and best wishes to the trio for their future endeavours.
