JAMMU, June 20: Shivani Singh beat Ananya by 21-16 and 21-4 and claimed the under 10 girls singles title, organised during the ongoing 1st Dr Pardip Shankhayadhar Memorial Open Badminton Tournament by Young’s Badminton Club at badminton hall, Gulshan Grounds, here today.
Earlier, in under 10 girls singles semis, Shivani Singh beat Veena by 2-0 sets in the first semis, whereas in the second semifinal, Ananya registered 2-0 sets victory over Shreya.
In under 10 boys doubles, Aesh and Arnav smashed Shaksham and Sunandhan by straight 2-0 sets. Earlier, in the first semis, Aesh and Arnav thrashed Dhananjay and Hitarth, while Shaksham and Sunandan crushed Raghunandan and Shivnandan in the second semifinal.
In under 13 girls doubles, Naman and Bhavini beat Anushka and Akshita in the final by two sets and the score remained 21-4 and 21-4. Earlier, in the semis, Naman and Bhavini smashed Aakriti and Shruti and registered win, whereas, Anushka and Akshita beat Naviya and Janvi in the second semifinal and registered berth in the final.
In under 10 boys single, Aesh Goswami will take on Hitarth Verma in the final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Aesh Goswami registered 2-0 sets victory over Saksham, whereas in the second semis, Hitarth Verma smashed Arnav Thakur by straight 2-0 sets.
In under 13 boys singles, Vishant Sharma will take on Aesh Goswami in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Vishant Sharma beat Prananjay Sharma and registered victory in the first semis, whereas, in the second semis, Aesh Goswami crushed Tushar Verma and advanced to final.
In under 13 boys doubles, Aesh and Aryan will clash with Prananjay and Aditya in the final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semis, Aesh and Aryan smashed Suvi and Yadunandhan, whereas, in the second semis, Prananjay and Aditya registered win over Aryan and Arjun.
In under 15 boys singles, Nalin will clash with Adeshwar in the final tomorrow. Earlier, Nalin thrashed Savinay by straight 2-0 sets and registered win in the first semis, whereas, Adeshwar crushed Raghav Dogra by 2-1 sets in the second semifinal.
In under 17 girls singles, Peehushi will lock horns with Saubhagani in the final tomorrow. Earlier, in the first set, Peehushi beat Suvidha by 2-1 sets, whereas in the second semis, Saubhagani smashed Mitakashra by 2-1 sets and the score remained 22-19, 18-21 and 22-20.
In under 17 boys singles, Divum Gupta, Raghav Vaid, Satyam Raina and Diyum registered wins and sailed into semis. Earlier, in quarterfinal, Divum Gupta crushed Vishal, Raghav Vaid beat Dhananjay, Satyam Raina smashed Bhavesh, Diyum beat Bashir Ahmed.
