JAMMU, Mar 30: Shivang defeated Rohit by straight 2-0 sets and claimed the junior title of the State Squash Championship organised by J&K Squash Rackets Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council at Jammu Club today.
In the first semis of the junior category, Shivang thrashed Kaveen, whereas in the second semis, Rohit registered win over Varun.
In veterans’ category, Colonel Jasrotia will clash with Ajay Kapoor in the final tomorrow.
In Open category (seniors), Jaideep defeated Arun, Sukhdeep crushed Shivang, Imran Ahmad trounced Sahil Batta, Sheray thrashed Sanchit, Jaideep defeated Sukhdeep, Pankaj Aggarwal beat Rajesh Gupta, Varun got walk over from NS Jamwal, Varun thrashed Imran Ahmad and Pankaj Aggarwal routed Sheray.
Earlier, the championship was declared open by Arshad Khan, senior vice president, J&K Squash Rackets Association in presence of other officials of the association and spectators.
