DODA, June 19: Shival Cricket Club (SCC) Doda registered convincing win over Pranoo Cricket Club (PCC) Doda in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Pranoo Cricket Club Doda set a total of 143 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Fayaz Ahmed top scored with 54 runs, while Fareed Magray contributed 19 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Raman Sharma bagged 4 wickets while Shahbaz Lone and Sajjad Ali shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Shival Cricket Club (SCC) Doda chased the score in 19.4 overs for the loss of 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Nikhil played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 72 runs, while Manjeet Singh contributed 21 runs to the total. From bowling side, Iqbal Dar bagged 3 important wickets while Yasir Ali and Karib Zargar claimed 1 wicket each. Nikhil of Shival Cricket Club Doda was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display. He was given a prize by the chief guest, Bushan Kumar, Owner Angel Light & Tent House Doda, along with Noushair Batt and Surinder Raina.
The match was officiated by Yousuf Raza and Harish Raza as umpires while Abdal Shenali and Sandeep Kaushik were the scorers.
