JAMMU, Apr 30: The eves of Shastri House defeated their counterparts in Subhash House in kho-kho summit clash of the Intramural Competitions of Gandhi Nagar Zone which concluded at Government High School Kaluchak, here today.
The 3-day Intramural Competition concluded in the school ground in the disciplines of kho-kho and kabaddi held under the overall supervision of Jeet Singh, zonal physical education officer and under the supervision of School Headmistress, Sarishta Sharma.
Meanwhile, the kabaddi and kho-kho boys were won by Gandhi House and Nehru House by defeating their rivals with a convincing margin. Ajay Sambyal, Amit Singh and Ankush were declared best players of the Competition.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts including Chamel Singh, Shamo Devi, Bupinder Kour and Rajeshwari.
Speaking on the valedictory function, Jeet Singh applauded the School management for smooth and successful conduct of the Championship, while Sarishta motivated the students for more and more participation in sports and games.
She said sports, apart from helping in building physique, help youth not to derail from the main stream.
