JAMMU, Mar 16: Shahe-nshah Cricket Club and JKP Centre defeated their rivals convincingly to enter the next round of the ongoing Jammu Premier League (JPL)-2 at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here.
The Tournament is being organized by Latif Hussain Khan and his team.
In the first match, Shahenshah Club defeated Tawi Cricket Club by 5 wickets. Batting first, Tawi Cricket Club scored a meagre total of 88 runs. Ashu top scored with 34 runs. Altaf was the pick of the bowlers for Shahenshah Cricket Club, who took 7 important wickets.
In reply, Shahenshah Cricket Club chased the target in 15 overs. Shahid top scored with 28 runs. Suresh claimed 3 wickets for Tawi Cricket Club. Altaf was declared as man of the match for his superb bowling display.
In another match, JKP Centre Cricket Club defeated Dev Cricket Club by 7 wickets in an easy contest. Dev Cricket Club scored a modest total of 110 runs. Manjeet scored 29 runs, while Manzoor took 3 wickets.
In reply, JKP Centre Cricket Club chased the target in 14.1 overs to win the match by 7 wickets. Ishtiaq scored unbeaten 46 runs, while Suresh claimed 3 wickets. Ishtiaq was adjudged as man of the match for his magnificent innings.
