JAMMU, July 26: Shaheen FC Jammu defeated SCFA by five goals to three (5-3), whereas Kashmir Avengers FC trounced Real Kashmir FC (R) by three goals to nil in the ongoing 1st edition of Professional Football League-2021, being organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The first match was played between SCFA and Shaheen FC Jammu. Both the teams played quality Football and SCFA displayed man to man marking and perfect ball control but Shaheen Sports FC defeated the SCFA by five goals to three. Amritpal and Mac scored two goals each and Gagandeep scored one goal for Shaheen FC. The young Turks of SCFA proved equally good and scored three beautiful goals wherein Parvez netted two goals, while Abinam scored one goal. Amrit Pal Singh was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was played between Real Kashmir FC (R) and Kashmir Avengers FC. Right from the start of the match both the clubs made certain calculated moves against each other but could not find the net. It was in the 20th minute of the 1st half that Kashmir Avengers took the lead by scoring a goal. Real Kashmir FC was awarded a penalty kick for an offence but they failed to level the score. The 1st half score was 1:0 in favour of Kashmir Avengers FC. In the 2nd half, RKFC tried very hard to equalize but could not succed.
In the 55th minute of the match Kelvin of Kashmir Avengers FC doubled their lead by a share mistake of the goalkeeper. In the 75th minute of the game Kashmir Avengers once again succeeded to net one more goal through Kelvin. Thus, the match ended with Kashmir Avengers FC defeating Real Kashmir FC by three goals to nil. Kelvin of Kashmir Avengers FC was declared as man of the match.
Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul was the chief guest of event who lauded the teams for their magnificent display of the game.
Lonestar KFC will lock horns with Hyderya Sports at 3 pm while SCFA will face Downtown Hero’s FC at 5 pm at same venue on tomorrow.
