JAMMU, Dec 15: Shaheen Football Club defeated Engineers XI by four goals to nil (4-0), while Churchill Brothers held Christian Stars to (1-1) draw in the ongoing Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Gold Cup State Football League Tournament, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
From Shaheen Football Club, the 1st and 3rd goal were scored by Aashish Mehra in 15th and 33rd minutes, while the 2nd goal was scored by Anish Mehra in 30th minute and the 4th goal was netted by Sumit Sharma in 55th minute.
In another match, Churchill Brothers held Christian Stars to (1-1) draw. The Ayaan Malik scored the goal from Churchill Brothers in 38th minute, Vinay scored the goal for Christian Stars through penalty kick in 47th minute.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar, Dheeraj, Mohinder, Vijay Kumar and Romesh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, J&K Bank Academy will take on Young Rovers at 3 pm.
The matches were witnessed by Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu, SM Gill (Ex MLC), David, Varinder Gupta, Amardeep Singh, Charanpreet Singh, Rajesh Sumbria (Treasurer DFA Jammu) and Yousaf Don.
